Location
The 2026 edition of Visual Sound takes place at Castello Savelli Torlonia in Palombara Sabina, one of the most significant historical complexes in the Lazio region and the largest castle in the area.
Located in the historic centre and overlooking the Tiber valley, the castle dates back to the medieval period and was later expanded by the Savelli and Torlonia families, gradually becoming a fortified noble residence. Its halls, towers and large courtyard preserve architectural layers from different historical periods, including the remarkable fresco cycle dedicated to the Liberal Arts.
For Visual Sound, the castle becomes a living architecture: façades and interior spaces turn into narrative surfaces for video mapping, electronic music, audiovisual performances and for the artistic residency, creating a dialogue between historical heritage and contemporary digital art.
