ELISA is an immersive audiovisual performance that explores the dynamics of birth, growth, and decay of a virtual microorganism called Elisa. The visuals, curated by Blivet and generated through artificial intelligence algorithms, create a real-time visual narrative that follows the entire life cycle of the organism: from birth to evolution, multiplication to mutation, until eventual decay and death.
The visual variations are closely tied to sound frequencies, their intensity, and the tempo of the musical compositions. The audio, crafted by Achieh, interacts dynamically with the visuals, modulating the visual experience in response to sound changes, making Elisa's transformation process unique and constantly evolving.
The soundtrack incorporates material from biodiversity awareness and protection projects, underscoring the central theme of the work: the fragility and importance of our ecosystem. Through this synergy between sound and image, Blivet and Achieh aim to convey a message of ecological awareness, highlighting the complexity and beauty of the natural world and the necessity to protect it.
